Role: Mechanical Engineer & Tooling DesignerLocation: FarehamRate: up to £42/hour (PAYE) Mt client are one of the world's leading providers of high performance sensing, monitoring, power and motion systems. The division's capabilities include air data systems and flight displays; ignition systems; motion and position sensors; power generation and conversion; as well as sensing and machinery monitoring. Position Summary:Mechanical engineer to generate tooling, jigs and fixtures. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:CAD-experienced mechanical engineer (Ideally Inventor), able to interact with production and engineering to generate 3D CAD models (of production aids (tooling, build aids, test fixtures etc.) and associated generated 2D drawings. Skills/Knowledge:Extensive mechanical design skills as applied to electronic packaging of Avionic instrumentsExperience in 3D and 2D CAD Systems.Experience of configuration control & a good working knowledge of an ERP/MRP systemExperience of responding to changing deadlines and requirementsProject status reportingStructured approach to all aspects of mechanical design.Experience in working in cross-discipline teams.Used to working with others to solve engineering problems.Knowledge of current mechanical design standards and techniques.Strong written communication and verbal communication skillsGood interpersonal skillsStrong prioritization skillsWell-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-taskAbility to understand and follow specific instructions and proceduresAbility to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reportsAbility to research and analyze data effectivelyAbility to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines To apply please send your CV's in the first instance
