About the Role With cross-functional activities spanning front and back-end development, UX/UI, all aspects of content production, social media, analytics and more, our Central Digital team sets the example for Shelter in digital best practice, discovery and innovation. And, right now, we're looking for a mid-weight QA Tester, for both manual and automation testing, to improve the quality of our digital products and services. You'll be working on innovative projects involving complex web-based applications, in an agile environment with. You'll also be an integral part of our web development function and cross-disciplinary product team that assure the quality of web and mobile solutions. Contributing to project and developments meetings, getting involved in estimate work in sprints, creating test cases for manual and automation and executing test scripts and record test results - all are aspects of this interesting, varied and rewarding role. About you
To succeed, you'll need experience of manual and automation testing working with Selenium Web-driver, Cucumber BDD, JUnit, OPPs based programming languages, Jira and Git. You'll also need knowledge of, and exposure to, manual API testing using Postman or similar tools, the TestNG framework and Jenkins. Excellent communication skills are essential too, as is a real enthusiasm and willingness to work as part of a friendly team in a fast-paced environment. Great at managing your time and prioritising your work, you also know how and when to escalate problems where necessary. What's more, you're not afraid to question the status quo and introduce new ideas when appropriate.
