ICT End User Support / ICT Technician / ICT Engineer / Northampton / initial 3 months contract / £13.33-14.87 PAYE OR £17.52- 19.55 Umbrella

Reed Technology are working with a public sector client in Northampton who require an IT End User Support Officer to manage the ICT Infrastructure, deployment and maintenance, to provide desktop and end user support. This will be in collaboration with appropriate staff and 3rd party support as well as inform and contribute, working with the ICT Manager to the strategic ICT development plan.

You will be required to;

* Identify, diagnose and resolve issues in computer hardware and software, providing general desktop support.

* Install and upgrade hardware and software, providing assistance in configuring hardware, software and peripherals of the ICT end user system

* Provide one to one assistance to the end user regarding technical issues via phone/email/in person

* Co-ordinate the ICT Infrastructure in all aspects of the service delivery and management.

* Collaborating and coordinating with 3rd party software suppliers to support systems

* Work with IT Project Officer/IT Managers on ICT Projects, taking on various duties designated by their line manager

* Capture and document new learnings and knowledge, sharing the insight with colleagues to help others.

* Use ERP systems to order services and equipment for the ICT departmentSkills, Qualifications and Knowledge

* ITIL 3 or 4 Foundation

* Microsoft 365

* Windows Server

* Active Directory

* Basic network troubleshooting , cabling, TCP/IP

* ITIL framework

Suitable applicant must have a full clean driving licence as some travelling will be involved in this role. Applicants must be willing to work in both Northampton and Wellingborough.
