A Central London based company responsible for providing IT and Digital services to the Govenment are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team offering a salary of £48,000 - £63,000 with flexible working hours around the core hours of around core hours of 10.00 - 16.00 and the potential to be home based. The remit and responsibilities of the role are broad and include providing general IT support, managing the networks, developing specialist applications, programme and project management, developing and maintaining websites and managing social media channels.As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will:Support the ongoing development and operation of software by underpinning development processes, managing tools and testing environments, maintaining development standards and writing software to automate processes.Deliver and integrate software to deliver a complete DevOps toolchain and enable product delivery.Ensure product deployment strategies are scalable and available and that automated pipelines are developed, maintained and supported to ensure delivery.Create and manage the accreditation processes for any products and services that are developed.Work collaboratively with colleagues across the team in order to design, code and test programs or scriptsSupport, coach and develop less experienced DevOps Engineers. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with:
Proven DevOps experience gained in either public or private sector with a demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the principles of modern standard approach.Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.Strong interpersonal skills, able to develop relationships with and influence/persuade colleagues at all levels.Collaborative approach with strong teambuilding and able to lead, motivate and develop a large, diverse team.Experience of Microsoft Azure Developer, CI build server tools (such as TeamCity and Octopus Deploy), and Powershell and scripting skills are required for this position.Experience of leading Diversity & Inclusion initiatives would be an advantage.
