A position for an Analog IC Layout Manager has become available in a Semiconductor company leading in the the development of advanced power delivery products for computing and telecom applications in their design centre in Ireland. In your position as Analog Layout Manager you will lead a team of experienced layout designers, both locally and remotely, focused on layout in BCD/CMOS/Bi-CMOS from block level to top level and release to production of mixed analogue/digital power management products. You will work cross-functionally with design, programme management, CAD and process technologists and will be responsible for growing the capability of the team, and developing and applying new layout methodologies. There will be a strong emphasis on directing the activities of remote sites. You be considered for this position you are industry degree qualified and have at least 12 years experience in Analog IC Layout including 4 years people management experience and the following skills and experiences:Experience in leading a team of expert layout engineers with multiple successful product tape-outsGenerating , assessing and tracking layout schedulesOrganise / plan and direct block work in remote sitesPractical hands-on experience in all aspects of layout design, verification and debugCadence layout-(G)XL and Caliber proficiencyExperience in floor planning and routing strategiesExperience of electrically aware design including EM/IR/ESD and constraints driven layoutFamiliar with APR flow and generating DEF filesFamiliar with Digital-on-Top, Mixed-Signal-on-Top, Innovus flowsScripting for automating layout tasksDemonstrated skills/knowledge of design revision control systems such as Cliosoft, Synchronicity or ICManage.Able to generate and release final layout to full productionUnderstanding of package layout and bonding requirementsExperience of layout for power management a bonus, including BCD processes, and physical design of drivers and power MOSFETsFurther skills:Strong analytical and debug skills for understanding and resolving all aspects of layout verificationExcellent communicator, both verbal and written, and can build consensus between key stakeholdersLiaise cross-functionally with design, CAD, process technology and managementDrive continuous productivity improvements through improved work methodologies and tool featuresReview and document layout together with design team For more information and to apply, click APPLY NOW or speak to Ane Bauer at IC Resources.
