Senior Software Engineer C++ London to £150k

Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead (Real-time Market Data C++) *Remote Interview WFH*. Would you like to take a lead role and remain hands-on with technology? You could be joining a global Investment Management company.

As a Senior Software Engineer you design and develop C++ real-time, low latency highly available systems that deliver market data from global financial exchanges into the company's ecosystem for use by traders and strategists. You'll focus on making performance improvements to uptime, reliability, robustness, distribution and scalability working with Agile TDD methodologies. As a senior member of the team you will take ownership on projects, help set the standards and drive best practice.

You'll be based in modern, open plan offices with all the latest kit and 360 views of the City.

Requirements:

Advanced C++ development skills including multi-threading

Strong knowledge of low level UNIX / Linux including Linux Kernel

Experience of optimising low latency, real-time systems within a finance environment, ideally real-time markets data feed handlers

Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms

Strong understanding of Networking technologies such as TCP/IP, PGM, UDP, Sockets

Collaborative team member with strong communication and interpersonal skills, happy to work with others and mentor more junior team members

Degree educated, 2.1 or above, Computer Science preferred
