A Technical Officer (Security Remediation) is required for our client based in Bolton, for an initial 3 month contract. Job PurposeRemediation of security vulnerabilities in applications. Main DutiesDriving application and server remediation activity with the relevant business areas and their technical suppliers.Assessing identified vulnerabilities and remediation activities requiredManaging stakeholders, suppliers, and Managed service to deliver and implement remediation activitiesProduction, ownership, and implementation of remediation plansReporting and updating vulnerabilities tracker Essential skillsFirst class communication and interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with Business Managers and technical specialist.Proven knowledge of Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019 and Microsoft SQL ServerStrong understanding of IT security best practicesAn understanding of ITIL processes specifically configuration and change managementAbility to work well under pressure, drive progress and deliver to tight deadlines.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a friendly, outgoing, and helpful attitude. Experience / TrainingProject Management experienceTechnical experience of Windows Server, SQL and the configuration, deployment and management of applications and databases
