About us

Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills. We inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people, but also services for learners of all ages. Every week, we carry out hundreds of inspections and regulatory visits throughout England, reporting on standards across the country and delivering our results to Parliament.

Working with us gives you the chance to help protect and advance children's lives, but also take on projects that will push your skills and advance your career. There's huge scope for both personal and professional development, whatever your role.

About the role

You'll develop our IT infrastructure while making sure our services are safely maintained and available to use at all times.

Joining our fast-paced, dynamic working environment, you'll provide second and third line support, develop our security platform and play an active role in our operations team, managing incidents and creating best practice processes for future guidance.

Learning and developing your skills is a key part of the role, as you'll introduce new infrastructure and systems while supporting our current services, which include Azure, Office 365 and AWS platforms.

About you

You'll have an in-depth knowledge of Windows servers from 2008 onwards, but also AWS services, authentication protocols, cryptography, PKI and SSL/TLS. You'll also be used to working in a DevOps environment and have previous experience in network support and troubleshooting.

We also need positive, energetic candidates who can communicate effectively, inspire others and constantly find ways to change and improve the way we work.

About our benefits

We're committed to maintaining your health and wellbeing, be that physically, emotionally, financially or socially, and our benefits reflect this. You'll have the option to join the Civil Service Pension Scheme, take advantage of our many professional and personal development opportunities, enjoy 32.5 annual leave days per annum (plus public holidays) and get access to counselling and advisory services for you and your family.
