Full Stack Developer London to £75k

Full Stack Developer / Software Engineer (Computer Science Java JVM Kotlin Web JavaScript). Successful and growing commodities trading firm is seeking a bright, ambitious Full Stack Developer to design and develop highly complex web based trading platforms; implementing new features and getting them into production quickly. You'll make improvements to the trading robots and build back office tools to aid the operation of exchanges and make changes to the underlying accounting systems. As a Full Stack Developer you'll be a key part of an Agile development team that cares about code quality.

The technology stack includes Java 8 / Java 11, Scala, Spring, Kotlin and Linux. You'll be using the latest technologies and choosing the best tool for the job in a technology driven environment.

Offices based in West London with a friendly and informal "start-up atmosphere" with monthly hack-a-thons; you'll be working on complex and interesting systems that provide daily challenges and improving your skills, gaining valuable knowledge of financial trading systems.

Driven by technology the company is able to offer a remote interview / onboarding process and work from home during the current social distancing measures.

Requirements:

Degree educated; 2.1 or above gained in Computer Science from a top tier university (Red Brick, Russel Group or global equivalent)

Strong core Java development experience

Good knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Keen to learn and work with JVM technologies e.g. Kotlin, Scala

Excellent communication skills, collaborative and enthusiastic
