This employer is a growing IT managed service provider (MSP) based in central Manchester with clients nationwide.

Founded early 2016, they serve a range of industry sectors, including finance, legal, retail, charity, and manufacturing, acting as an outsourced IT department and IT Director for their clients.

They pride themselves that their team provides a high standard of responsive and proactive support that their customers rave about. They're recruiting for new technical team members to support their continued growth throughout 2020.

Note: Due to COVID-19, this employer is currently working 100% remotely until such a time it is deemed safe to return to their Manchester office. All interviews and assessments will be conducted via videoconference during this time.

The position is for an immediate start, and as such requires applicants to be able to work from home until their office has reopened.

The role entails:

- Providing technical support, advice and consultation to their clients

- Assisting in the design, maintenance and management of their client solutions, with a key responsibility supporting their cloud/hosted products such as Microsoft 365, Azure and other IaaS & SaaS platforms

- Contributing to and maintaining their internal KB

- Working with third party vendors and others to resolve issues

Personal Skills:

- Excellent customer service skills - in person, on the phone and email

- A self-starter who is at home working individually and as part of a small team

- High standard of written and spoken English with excellent attention to detail

- A keen learner with interest in new technologies

- Demonstrable awareness of data protection, security policies and IT best practice

Education:

- Relevant degree level qualification or significant experience with strong A-levels

- English & Maths GCSE grade C and above (or equivalent)

Experience:

- 8+ years' experience working in an IT support capacity, with at least 2 years in a senior / 3rd line role

- MSP experience is highly advantageous

Technical Skills (Essential):

- Management & support of: Azure PaaS/IaaS solutions, full Microsoft 365 stack (inc Azure AD, EMS suite, Exchange, SharePoint & Teams), Windows 10 & macOS

- Experience configuring & supporting Windows Server 2012 and above, inc. AD, GP, DFS, DNS, DHCP, IIS

- PowerShell for management of Windows Server, Azure and MS365 services

- Wired / wireless network design and support

- Server backup technologies, ideally Veeam B&R

- Experiencing managing MDM / MAM solutions - ideally InTune

- Data security & encryption technologies

Desirable

- Experience with: Mimecast, Gamma Horizon, Cisco Meraki, PRTG, or IT Glue

- Experience supporting FCA-regulated IT environments

- MS SQL Server management

- Mac server management and scripting

Permanent full-time. 0830-1730 Mon-Fri with occasional out of hours required. Occasional site visits will be required, which may require overnight stays.
