A Senior Software Engineering position is now available with a company based just outside of Edinburgh! As their Senior Embedded Software Engineer you will be working on cutting edge technology across global clients at their site which is the centre of excellence for the business. The company also boast an impressive benefits package but with the smaller family feel in terms of team size and are looking to recruit further talent as part of expansion!As their Senior Embedded Software Engineer you will responsible for all aspects of development right from concept and through to maintenance so right the way through the life cycle. You will also be working on the architecture of the software and leasing with customers to ensure the highest quality of software. Any experience in Networking and protocols is also advantageous but not a necessity! This is an excellent chance to get in with this company and join at the start of big projects!Core Skills include:-Degree in Electronics, Computer Science or related subject.Experience in working through whole software development lifecycleAn excellent understanding of C and GNN/Linux development environmentExperience in configuration management practices and toolsDevelopment experience in networking protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc)An understanding of scripting languages including Python, Bash and TCL.Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Test - frameworks such as JenkinsDesirable skills Safety critical environmentCustomer facing experienceAgile MethodologiesEmbedded Environment I appreciate that you may not have all of the skills listed however if this is something you feel would be suitable I would be very keen to have a chat!
