Engineering Manager Contract duration: 22/06/2020 - 18/12/2020Location : Bern Drives strategic site development as well as the daily activities of the Engineering and Projects Team to support the development and manufacture of Pharmaceuticals in a regulated environment and maximize the benefit to the company. Setting the strategy, leveraging best practices, and developing internal as well as external partnerships for engineering, project management, automation/industrial IT and RAMS topicsResponsible for the development and updating of the Site Asset Master Planning (SAMP) incl. associated Long-Range-Financial-Plan (LRFP) based on and in strong alignment with the overall strategy for the businessResponsible for all investment (CapEx) governance on site incl. associated project portfolio and individual project managementDrive and develop the assigned technical and human resources to achieve best-in-class departmental performanceEnsure continued alignment with the internal business partners and manage the link into engineeringProvides procedural guidance and technical leadership towards all investment projects on site from idea generation to close-out and lessons learned incl. authority inspections in order to achieve best-in-class project delivery and optimized organizational learning.Requirements University degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Biotechnology or Chemical disciplineYears of experience: e.g. BS min. 15 yrs.' MS/MBA/Ph.D. min. 10 yrs. with people and budget management accountability required.Sound professional experience in the biopharmaceutical industry as Engineering Lead or Senior Project Manager is highly desiredExtensive knowledge of (c)GMP and GxP regulations as well as technical standards including local Swiss building codes is mandatoryDeep understanding of closely linked business process in the area of Commissioning & Qualification as well as Maintenance and Facility Management are requiredSelf-driven and able to set own targets, ability to set priorities under pressure and team player with influencing and strong analytic skillsFluency in English is a must; a very good level of German is important and any additional languages are advantageousThis role may require less than 10% regional travel, as needed.Sthree Switzerland is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
