An excellent opportunity has arisen to join an ever growing company that provides a market leading service for Private Medical Insurance. Based in Gloucestershire, you will be working on a market leading platform for the medical and life insurance industry. Within the role, the initial aspect would be to help deliver an MVP platform, for then going forward you will control the transition to a more scalable micro services based approach for future features and development work.Day to day responsibilities:
Not all team leading, willing to roll your sleeves up and get hands on with developmentMentoring junior members of the teamEnsure development standards are met and followedReviewing pull requestsCommunicate with the front end team to ensure solid solutionsEnsure architectures are designed and participating in daily stand ups.It would be an advantage if you had some if not all of the following:
Strong PHP knowledgeWorking with PHP MVC framework, preferably LaravelExperience working in a micro services environmentExperience of building enterprise services in either Go, Java, Node or PHPComfortable writing MySQL queriesAbility to work in a close knit team and independentlyImplementing TDD practicesExperience with GraphQLBackground knowledge of working within the financial or insurance sector.
