Who will you be working for? Reed Professional Services have been engaged with one of the UK's Central Government bodies to provide hands on consultancy services on a crucial COVID-19 response programme. At RPS we provide project delivery and tailored PMO services, helping our customer's projects go from concept to completion. Reed Professional Services are looking to provide an embedded team of Senior Policy Consultants to aid the programmes demanding (and ever changing) workflow - centred around protecting those most vulnerable during the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak. What will you be doing? We are looking to introduce a number of experienced Policy Consultants to influence and support this wider, multi-vendor team - advising and aiding with crucial policy decision making and implementation at a Senior Management Team level within the programme. The programme is aiming to set up and manage a number of new (& existing) systems and processes (along with a number of other Government departments) to provide essential support to those most effected. We are looking to engage with experienced consultants who: Have a versatile and robust skillset, with the ability to perform within a fast paced, politically charged environment delivering a number of quality outcomes against challenging timescales. Utilise data sets and existing policy documentation to make informed decisions on new policy creation. Can brief ministers and senior government officials across different Government departments. Actively contribute to policy and programme decisions across the overall directorate. Skills: The Policy Consultant should have extensive experience drafting and documenting Central Government based policies (both new and existing), ideally having worked in a similar role within the food safety, security /logistics or local community services field. You must have the ability to extract information from busy stakeholder and strong interpersonal skills - building and maintaining effective working relationships across the business with outstanding communication skills - both written / verbal and a natural gravitas.
