A new client is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to start on a 12 month contract based in Sydney CBD.The roleWorking as a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for managing multiple avenues of the organisation's infrastructure and providing advice into the future direction of IT around the business. You will also play a key role in assisting the operations team to troubleshoot issues while actively identifying and tending to issues to create better service stability and reduce workload within the other varying areas of the IT team.This role will be initially offered on a 12 month contract basis with the possibility of extension or transition to permanent if circumstances allow.What you'll need to succeedHave at least 5 years of experience working as a Senior Engineer in a large (i.e. >500 seat) organisationPossess expert level knowledge of Windows Server (2008-2019), Active Directory, Group Policy, MDT, WSUS, DFSPossess expert level knowledge of vSphere in an enterprise environmentPossess expert level knowledge of networking (i.e. Routing, Switching, Firewalls)Have excellent communications skills, both written and verbalHave the right to legally work within Australia.Desirable: At least basic knowledge of Linux/Unix, particularly RHEL and CentOSExperience with VeeamExperience with NetBackupExperience with Symantec Endpoint ProtectionIf you feel you have the experience to apply for this role, please do.
