Constantly having to adapt to the ever-changing nature of the industry, they are always working on exciting industry first projects and require a talented and aspiring systems engineer to join their experienced team.Responsible for the design definition, control, development and update of an extensive facility. You will be tasked with identifying sources of environmental issues, notably energy consumption in the first instance, and to formulate and implement permanent engineering solutions. This will involve the introduction of new systems and technologies marrying them up with legacy technology so that they operate successfully. largely aimed at the systems engineering and sustainability aspects of the site's facilities and infrastructure, they are looking for a systems engineer who is familiar with miscellaneous engineering disciplines including: mechatronics; software and manufacturing.
Working in an experienced team, initially you will be mentored and supported by experienced engineers to understand the ins and outs of the site.The Role:
* Systems and sustainability engineer
* Identify sources of environmental issues, notably energy consumption
* Become familiar with a large complex facility, understanding the demand placed on the equipment
* Introduction of new systems and technologies to marry up with existing legacy technology
* Take engineering ownership of entire projects such as the refurbishment of significant plant assets.
* Generate design documentation, change definition and change justifications.
*Working within a close knit and skilled engineering team
* Working in a high security environment
* Long term and technically interesting permanent roleThe Person:* Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering or closely related subject.
*Heavy Industrial experience (1+ years).
* Understand the fundamentals of industrial machinery (Electrical, mechanical, software, electronic)
* Understanding of environmental engineering including implementation.
* Appreciate the importance of continuous improvement.
* Highly numerate and confident with analytical methods
* Appreciate the importance of continuous improvement.
