A Essex Local Authority is looking for a Product Manager to work with a Social Care & Education Managed Services technology product (Liquidlogic). This is a new position in a newly reorganised and focused IT area. Paying a salary of £40k to £48k base + excellent package. The IT product owner represents the 'voice of the customer' by maintaining and prioritising a product backlog to ensure that the team is working on stories that maximise business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all customers. This position understands and defines the customer experience and journey as well as manages the development of the technology. This position is responsible for leading a product teams' execution and delivery of hardware/software releases within a well-defined software development life cycle process. This position understands and coordinates feature backlog for all product changes and updates and their dependencies on each other. Leads the translation of software features into technical requirements (Features) and defines software release plan and scope with the Business Partner and Enterprise Architecture teams Required skills / experience: Degree educated or equivalentProject Management qualification preferredExperience as a Vendor Manager OR Product Manager OR Systems support Manager.Liquidlogic knowledge / experience.Customer centric, focused on solving business and user needsPossess a fundamental understanding of end-end customer experience integration and dependenciesAbility to support the business in defining their vision, especially where it impacts technologyKnowledge of enterprise and application design patternsExperience with IaaS, PaaS and Cloud Services such as AWS, Azure is preferred.Understanding of architecture governance, design authority processes and overall solution design management processesStrong collaboration skillsExperience of working in an Agile development environmentAbility to translate technical jargon into easy to understand and clear termsBroad technical knowledge, and ability to quickly assimilate new skillsExperience in managing development projectsExperience with user interface and customer experience designA continual learner that stays up-to-date on the latest technologiesStrong communication skills, both written and oralExcellent planning and organisational skillsHas a 'get on and get the job done' attitudeFlexible with changing priorities and dealing with issues as they ariseExperience of managing contractors and third party providersExcellent self motivation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships across professional and organisational boundaries and encourage participation and knowledge sharing with other stakeholdersIf you are interested please apply now by forwarding your up-to-date CV.
