The Role

Reporting directly to the Group Chief Finance Officer, we're seeking an inspiring, engaging and transformational leader to take forward the Trust's Informatics leadership and agenda. You'll drive the work to support the delivery of our Trust's strategic aim to become a data driven organisation working with colleagues to support transformational change through the new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and inevitably, you'll be a visionary in modernisation harnessing the potential of MFT data to facilitate research and innovation. Highly skilled in leading Informatics, you'll have a natural ability to grasp change in business needs and communicate the real, tangible benefits of how informatics will fundamentally improve our work to support our most important factor, patient care. What's more, an expert in all things Informatics, you'll offer up to date, sound advice and guidance to the Chief Finance Officer and Board of Directors relating to the provision of high quality Informatics Services.

About You

You'll be a unique leader with the foresight to manage, motivate and develop staff, bringing them with you on MFT's vision within Informatics. It goes without saying that you'll be both resilient and tenacious with the natural flare to work effectively and efficiently within pressurised environments at high pace, applying adept prioritisation skills and a forward planning approach. You'll have a breadth of experience as a leader of Informatics in a similarly complex organisation or system. Effective influencing, negotiation and diplomacy will be imperative to your success alongside a high degree of emotional intelligence. Strategic, political and organisational awareness is essential together with the ability to empower people and build relationships both internally and externally.

Assessment & Selection Process

If successful at shortlisting, candidates will be required to complete a series of psychometric tests by midnight Wednesday 29 April 2020.

Partake in a call with an Occupational Psychologist in relation to candidates' completed psychometric tests on either Thursday 30 April 2020, Friday 1 of May 2020 or Monday 4 of May 2020.

Final Virtual Selection Centre (via online Microsoft Teams application) -the afternoon of Thursday 7 May 2020.
