£600 - £700 per day

Client is a leading insurer within the Lloyds Market have a number of active requirements at present, despite the current situation with regard to COVID-19 they are looking to recruit and on-board remotely a Solution Architect on a contract basis, they are happy to work with PSCs on an Outside IR35 assignment.

This will be joining their team based in London working on a Delegated Authority project. In the initial stages the overall objective will be to extend and expand the preliminary analysis on current state to provide a proposal for implementation of a target blueprint supported by a strong business case.

Responsibilities:

* Analyse and report on current state of system solutions in place for management of delegated authority, including key interfaces and systems.

* Assisting in the identification of solution options that fall in with the future target operating model including automation and integration of processes via RPA solutions, WebServices, APIs etc.

* Engage with suitable vendors to gather insight on market offering in terms of alternative COTS including their features and costs.

* Collate and articulate non-functional requirements

* Apply expert judgment to analyse, design and recommend solutions that satisfy business needs/technical constraints and in respect of the overall future state objectives

* Validate requirements for the selection of tools/services related to the implementation of solutions through formal RFPs and support the vendor selection process - as required

* Perform a thorough evaluation of benefits, risks, opportunities and plans to achieve the implementation of the proposed new solutions; support the impact assessment analysis.

* Contribute to the current state assessment, future state design, business case and plans in respect of the system solutions being considered.

Requirements:

* Comfortable in analysing high level requirements and working on the conceptualisation of solutions that fall in line with the needs of the business stakeholders.

* Exposure to different system solutions in support of the Insurance business (Underwriting, Claims, Accounting and Settlement, Complaints) - ideally from within the Lloyds of London Market.

* Ability to work with both IT/technical staff as well as business experts in a range of business areas to design practical solutions.

* Knowledge of prevailing architecture frameworks e.g. TOGAF

* Breadth of experience in the disciplines of Solution Design, Solution Development, Systems Integration, Enterprise Architecture.

* A broad technological perspective (application software, middleware, database, hardware, storage, network) to create a complete solution that meets business requirements.

* A proven track record of working in a programme environment where "change" is at the heart of the organisation.
