Data Platform Architect - West Midlands

Up to £80,000 per annum + Car"The world's most valuable resource is no longer oil, but data."Something you've probably known for a while, but with that in mind, it's no surprise that more and more organisations are taking Data seriously and ensuring they have real ownership of theirs.So if you're a Data Architect who understands the importance of having the right technologies and platforms to harness data across the entirety of an organisation from acquisition, management, processing, analysis and insight; then this is a role that will enable you to take a leading role in enabling an organisation with data at the core of it's business.Working directly with the Chief Data Officer, you will work to deliver strategic thinking and drive the platforms that harness data to create real value for customers and their consumers.As the Data Platform Architect you will:Have responsibility for platform roadmaps that drive the maintenance and improvement of technical platforms that make up the data eco-systemPartner with the wider Architecture Group to deliver data strategy and data product developmentBe an advocate for data and promote, identify and drive the use of data technologies to fuel innovationManage relationships with vendors and ensure return on investment whilst minimising total cost of ownershipRemove functional duplication across the technology landscapeEnsure the organisation operates in line with GDPR and the Uniform Network CodeIdentify and carry out analysis of potential external data sources that could be integrated to provide new insights and create valuable products for services for customersPlay a key role in the development of the Sourcing Strategy for the platforms
