Role: Network ArchitectStart Date: mid-AprilDuration: 3 months, with likelihood of a further 3 monthsLocation: Exeter - Remote working due to Covid 19 The Network Architect will be considered one of the customers's 'Capability Architect' roles, alongside Infrastructure, Integration, Security and Data. The capability architects have SME status in their domain and are charged with maintaining oversight, governance and adherence to strategy of all architectural change in their domain. Project interventions are expected but project interactions are mainly handled by one of a team of Solution Architects. Main purpose of the jobThe Network Architect role works closely with the architect community and is responsible for designing the University's communication networks, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, wireless, and closed networks, and support the transformation to a data driven and integrated IT service organisation.
