Front End Developer / Engineer (JavaScript ES6 React CSS HTML5 TDD). Key partner to the global energy markets is seeking an accomplished Front End Developer to support them in creating a new, cutting edge web experience platform.

The company specialises in providing real-time, in-depth information on global energy markets, combining extensive data models with a core market platform to support their network of high-profile clients.

As a Front End Developer, you'll work to enhance the core platform and write robust, maintainable code to deliver new features. From developing responsive browser-based applications to delivering fully functional and tested solutions, this is a hands-on role where you will own all aspects of your development work.

This Front End Developer role balances technical ownership with stakeholder management responsibilities, as you'll have the opportunity to work with high-level industry contacts, balancing optimal solutions against delivering business value. The ideal candidate will be a confident, self-assured communicator, able to complex technical information coherently to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements:

Experience in JavaScript ES6 or higher and developing responsive browser-based applications

Experience using at least one Front End framework (React most preferred)

Experience with HTML5 / CSS3

Experience with a pre-processor language such as SASS or LESS

Experience writing automated tests with a tool like Cypress or Jest to deliver complete, fully functional test solutions

STEM background / computer science education

Desirable: experience of PHP7 / Laravel, experience of AWS and / or DevOps
