SQL DBA - Bradford - £45k Nigel Frank are seeking a highly experience SQL DBA to join a well established financial organisation based in York. You will be part of a team of three IT Operations DBA's focusing on various projects and operations as the business grows.The Company: A progressive market leading financial services company are seeking a SQL DBA to join their Infrastructure team during a period of growth. The company are currently have multiple projects signed off and require additional help to support their clients SQL function. My client pride themselves on the support they provide their staff, your hard work will be recognised and a healthy work life balance is promoted.The role: As a SQL Server DBA you will be in charge of both managing and maintaining multiple SQL Server database environments, guaranteeing that they are not only reinforced but also fit for purpose. You will be required to pay specific attention to best practices for performance, reliability and design. You will also be a key part of ongoing projects and improvements to the SQL Server database environments, along with being responsible for analysing, solving, and correcting issues in real time. You will be providing problem resolution end-to-end. The sucessful candidate will be fully competant with the following tasks:Performance Tuning and OptimisationBackups, restores and recovery modelsImplementing high availability and Disaster Recovery options for SQL ServerSQL Database Performance TuningSQL Replication and MirroringWorking with SSRSCompetency with SSIS and ETLWorking independently as well as part of a teamMulti-tasking and context-switching effectively between different activities and teamsWorking with and understanding ITIL processes, including change and incident management My client are holding skype interviews over the next week, to be considered for this position please contact Megan Southern ASAP on 0191 814 7804 or email [email protected].
