Business Data Analyst (Finance)

Day Rate Contract: up to £540 per day

Initial 6-month contract - Southampton, Hampshire

As a preferred recruitment partner to this well-established global financial services organisation we have been asked to assist in the hire of a contract Business Data Analyst to work on a large implementation of a cloud-based finance application / finance system across the business. Candidates need to have a strong understanding on finance applications, including the modules within them.

This assignment will see the successful candidate working on our client's group wide transformation to Workday, hence experience of Workday (financial modules) would be very beneficial. However strong experience in other finance or accounting systems such as JD Edwards, Sun or Oracle is sufficient.

We share a very good relationship with this client, and we have already assisted in the hire of the PM for this project, in addition to other Business Data Analyst's in the team. This is a multi-skilled team compromising of multiple technology roles and business SMEs. The Head of Technology also recently joined via us here.

Experience / Skills

-Supporting finance and procurement integrations (Working with third parties, data analysis, integration testing)

-Producing data migration specifications and supporting testing and reconciliations

-Producing data archiving requirements

-Finance experience (Finance Applications, Finance Systems, Finance Modules)

-Strong understanding of finance applications and their modules

-Data Analysis, Data Migrations, Data Integrations, Data Archiving

-Business Data Analysis tools, techniques and processes

-Ideally experience of Workday Financial Management application and modules

-Experience of Coupa (which our client is moving to for Procurement) is beneficial

Our client is moving away from applications including JD Edwards, Perfect Commerce, 3DM, Concur, Cornerstone, Curo and Resource Link amongst others. Candidates will benefit from experience transforming away from these to cloud based systems.
