An extremely successful and long-established SME is looking for a highly experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join its technical team based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a new role within the business and would suit an engineering professional who is looking for that next step into a broader role with a wider remit.As the Electrical Project Engineer your responsibilities will include:
Being the technical project lead across the business, working in collaboration with a multi-disciplined team.Taking both day to day and strategic technological decisions in terms of products and services offered to the market.Fully supporting and delivering the product innovation and development program.Leading on product design from concept to delivery with client approval, and key technological advances across the business.Managing budgets and costs effectively in respect of the development process.Travelling overseas to see suppliers in Europe and Asia 4 times a year and up to 10 days at a time. We are interested in speaking to people with the following skills and experience:
Extensive knowledge of this highly regulated electrical power engineering sector or equivalent and be experienced in working with suppliers and customers both in and outside of the UK.A higher education level qualification in either electrical or mechanical engineering.A track record working within the electricity or electrical / mechanical sector.Proven experience of working within a modern SME engineering business.
As leaders in the design and manufacture of hi-tech overhead line electricity transmission and distribution solutions, the company has an excellent reputation in its sector both at home and overseas.
In return, the Electrical Project Engineer will receive a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience and plus bonus.
