This company is an industry leader providing value enhanced energy information and analysis, information services and software development services to the energy industry. A privately held high growth company who has experienced continuing double-digit growth year on year for the previous ten years. Providing services globally from their base in Stockton-on-Tees and via subsidiary companies in other European countries.

Due to successful growth this company is seeking a software development manager to enable continued client growth, this is a senior role and key to future business growth.

Job Description:

As an experienced software team manager, you will have proven success in managing software projects and meeting business end requirements, preferably in a SAAS environment. You will be responsible for reporting on costing, budgeting, resource requirements and workload.

Duties include the allocation of workflows and ensuring that development milestones are met. Must have the ability to nurture and develop talent and grow a highly functional team. The ideal candidate would be comfortable recruiting into the team and being part of a senior leadership group.

Education & Required Skills:

Degree Level (or equivalent) in a qualification based around science, engineering, mathematics or computer science.

Management of agile software development processes preferably within the context of delivery ongoing enhancements to a web based SAAS product. You would be working alongside an experienced Lead, experience of software development processes is necessary, coding ability desired.

The development stack consists of:

- Java

- PostgreSQL

- full AWS toolset

- JavaScript frameworks

Package:

Salary: £45-60k D.O.E.

Salary benefits include company pension and performance related bonus and the opportunity for foreign travel in Europe and further afield. Free onsite parking.
