Is this role for you?

We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Mobile Engineering Lead to join our Mobile Lab team in London, bringing with you a broad range of technical experience and a passion for modern development technologies and practices.

As a Mobile Engineering Lead, you'll lead the Digital Platform mobile engineering Lab, encompassing UX, Architecture, Development, Testing & Deployment, with the autonomy to drive agile, lean & DevOps principles across your deliveries in your own way.

As our organisation transforms, you will lead this Team of highly skilled engineers in evolving the core mobile native modules and architectural frameworks that constitute the foundations Lloyds Banking Group mobile apps, as well as, continue to deliver new features and capabilities that act as enablers for Value Streams to build out from.

What you will be doing?

In this role you will lead and manage a cross-functional Engineering Team that is responsible for building our mobile modules and frameworks (Android and iOS), which are then consumed by all the other divisions within the Lloyds Banking Group.

You'll work closely with our Mobile Lab Product Owner, and together you provide the direction and strategy for our mobile engineering function.

Additionally, you will be promoting cross division collaboration by sharing technical knowledge, best practices and innovation with all the other mobile teams.

Essential Skills?

You have experience in building and leading highly performant Engineering Teams across multiple disciplines, with a shared clear vision and a passionate drive to succeed.

You practice a Servant Leadership approach with your Teams and have experience in developing and motivating individuals.

You have experience in overseeing the technical design, architecture, development and delivery of mission critical digital products.

You will have extensive experience in promoting modularisation and industry standard engineering practices, like SOLID principles.

You have strong software engineering background, along with knowledge of modern software development toolsets including GitHub, DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Delivery.

As a technical leader, you foster innovation and technical development of the engineering community.

You have great influencing skills and demonstrate a high emotional intelligence coefficient.
