*University Degree in Computer Security or related discipline and 2 years function related experience, or a Higher Secondary education and advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 5 years post related experience in Computer Security or related discipline.

*Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of computer and communications security, networking, and the vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications;

*Proficiency with Network (TCP/IP) Engineering and secure network design;

*Proficiency with Intrusion/Incident Detection and Handling;

*Proficiency with Security Assessment;

*Practical experience in system administration and network administration;

*Experience in interpretation and mitigation of CIS security vulnerabilities;

*Experience in Intrusion Detection and Incident Handling.

*Experience in the analysis of risk and in the implementation and integration of cyber security protective measures;

*Experience in office communication and information systems.

*Desirable to be a member of a recognized professional body or institution;

*Desirable to have relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or GIAC Security.
