£35,000 - £40,000 per annum SSP Worldwide are a global provider of technology systems and solutions across the entire insurance industry. We are looking for a Financial Accountant with the following attributes to join our Finance team in Halifax: - Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or working towards your qualification
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel
- Must be conscientious and take ownership and responsibility for allocated work
- Must have the ability to check own work for accuracy and reasonableness before passing on for review
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills
- Confident and approachable The Financial Accountant's responsibilities include: - Assisting with the year end process including preparing statutory consolidated accounts and all associated disclosures
- Liaising with auditors including ensuring that adequate audit trails and evidence exists
- Supporting the development and impact of a new accounting standard (i.e. IFRS 9,15 and 16) on the accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax, PSA and Form 42 returns
- The preparation of financial information for monthly Board meetings
- Monitoring and reporting on capex spend across the business
- Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
