CloudOps Engineer - Stockholm

Premium Job From Nigel Frank International
Recruiter: Nigel Frank International
Listed on: 15th February
Location: Stockholm
Salary/Rate: £42,000 - £60,000
Type: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

One of our clients based out of Stockholm is looking to expand their existing team of developers due to an increase in their project portfolio. Looking to hire immediately whilst willing to wait for the right type of candidate, our client is very excited to be hiring a CloudOps engineer to provide assistance with delivering a variety of tailored solutions.

Your next challenge?

Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to work both in-house and on-site with customers, providing high calibre solutions to specific, cloud-native requirements. This allows for successful candidates to quickly get a large number and variety of high quality projects completed, strengthening your project portfolio. Further to this, working both in-house and on-site means you will use your extensive Engineering abilities to set up deployment pipelines, migrating to the cloud, advising colleagues and customers which tools to use, as well as providing assistance to customers on-site in their own process to on-board new customers.

Successful candidates will be working with both infrastructure and development teams to enable faster delivery of tailored solutions, as well as taking the very modern approach of not developing the back-end, but writing scripts and automating as much as possible. You will bring your cloud experience to the team and provide assistance in migrating towards serverless functionality, and embracing the cloud deliver model.

Who are you?

You are a highly experienced CloudOps Engineer, with a good working knowledge of either AWS or GCP, ideally with experience creating CI/CD pipelines from scratch. The client is looking to bring on a candidate who is experienced with Python, Linux (or an open source background), so experience with these tech stacks is preferable. You will have worked with the tools Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes, and any experience managing large clusters, or working with ElasticSearch is ideal. Finally, successful candidates will be passionate about technology and its real-life applications, alongside being a team player capable of working with a variety of people.

Your personality

  • Able to utilise efficient and structured ways of working
  • Effective communicator who can collaborate with others
  • Innovative and willing to embrace new technology and ways of working
  • Passionate about your work and alternative ways it can impact the world

Your experience

  • Good knowledge with AWS or GCP
  • Strong Python experience
  • Strong Linux and open source background
  • Interest in Kubernetes, Ansible and Terraform
