3rd line IT Support Engineer
£28,000 - £32,000 p/a

An established organisation based in Bournemouth is currently recruiting for a 3rd Line Support Engineer to be responsible in diagnosing, investigating and resolving desktop, networking, telephony, software and hardware issues on a day-to-day basis. The 3rd line support engineer will join an organisation that is looking to invest in their IT and also invest in their staff. This role will allow you to work independently to troubleshoot problems, and use your own initiative to make decisions to support their business.
Experience
Essential
*Windows Server 2008, 2012(R2), 2016 and 2019
*Microsoft Office 365 - Management and Configuration
*Windows 7 and Window 10 Desktop support
*Microsoft Stack - Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
*VMware 6.0
*Building and configuring virtual servers using VMware (Server 2016, Server 2019, SQL Server)
*Backup Solutions including Veeam
*Networking, switches, subnets, LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, TCP/IP and Managed Firewalls
*Storage Solutions including NAS and SAN devices
*Anti-Virus configuration and setup
*Expert user of the majority of MS Office applications
*Confident user of a range of hardware and operating systems
*Well organised, able to approach work methodically, prioritise and meet deadlines
*Good written and verbal communication skills and competent at reading and following verbal and written instructions
Desirable
*Understanding of SIP VoIP systems
*Basic understanding of MSSQL and MSSQL Reporting
*PowerShell and scripting knowledge Experience with 3rd party applications such as Sage, Exchequer, IRIS Payroll
*A working knowledge of network systems, their installation and maintenance and adaptation
*Networking or computer engineering qualification (HND or higher)
