IT Technical Security Consultant

My nationally recognised client, known for being a great place to work is looking for an IT Technical Security Consultant to join their IT team in Warwickshire as they embark an exciting period on transformation.

The IT Technical Security Consultant will oversee the day to day functionality of a range of security tools, ensuring all systems are fully operational. This is a highly technical role where you will develop your already significant skills in system engineering in a security services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

*Develop, approve and implement the proposals for IT Technical Security Solutions within the IT environment.

*Monitor consoles, security tools and other security infrastructure tooling to assess requests, incidents, trends and risks in collaboration with service providers.

*Plan, direct and manage major IT technical security issues, prioritising live incidents and systems problems affecting technical security infrastructure, in accordance with ITIL.

*Assess and coordinate deployment of changes, upgrades, patches and technical controls for technical security products and related IT Infrastructure in order to ensure risks are prioritised and maximising technical controls to maintain risk profile within agreed parameters.

*Proactively develop, monitor and deliver technical security operations procedures, standards, patterns, testing plans and technical baselines aligned to Information Security Policy framework.

*Investigate and/or contribute to the investigation and resolution of technical security incidents in order to ensure the effective root cause identification and restoration plan in line with service standards and statutory requirements.

*Proactively coordinate and communicate with key stakeholders and suppliers to ensure IT Division consistently executes its responsibilities on 1st line defence in accordance with best practice and IT professional standards.

Key Skills and Experience required:

*Significant experience in an equivalent IT Technical Security role.

*Significant experience of working in a 'run' environment across a range of security related technologies such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management, Advanced Threat Detection Tooling, Active Directory and Public Key Infrastructure.

*Broad experience across all aspects of IT Infrastructure and service.

*Experience of working in a regulated industry.

*Working knowledge of emerging technologies and standards.

*Any of these qualifications would be advantageous; CISSP, ITIL, Prince 2, COBIT.
