As a Data Scientist, your responsibilities will include:Data mining using state-of-the-art methods.Extending data with third-party sources of information.Processing, cleansing and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.Ad-hoc statistical or machine learning analysis, presenting results in a clear manner.Carrying out a broad range of activities that helps to drive the market testing of new business ideas.Bringing creative flair and new ways of thinking to solve client problems.Fostering a culture of experimentation and an entrepreneurial spirit within the team. We are looking for a Data Scientist with the following skills and experiences:
A Degree (2:1 or above) in a statistical discipline or equivalent commercial experienceExperience in life insurance or the financial services industry.Experience of statistical modelling and data analysis.Practical knowledge and experience of R.Coding knowledge and experience with several languages as well as hands-on experience with .NET technology stack. In return, a Data Scientist will receive a salary of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, a pension scheme, a day off for your birthday, travel insurance and free health screenings plus many other fantastic benefits!
