Working collaboratively with Lab/Programme colleagues, contractors and our onshore and offshore partners, you'll help bring new products to Scottish Widows to the large scheme market, all underpinned by a modern flexible platform.

The Zurich acquisition is well underway and is targeted for delivery in July 2020. In parallel, our Strategic Investment Platform will help customers secure their financial future and give them confidence to enjoy today, helping them with investing for the first time through to being secure in taking an income during retirement.

Here's where you'll make a difference:

*You'll contribute to the build of an integrated core platform.

*You'll evaluate and undertake impact analysis on potential design solutions, advise on associated risks and provide recommendations.

*You'll lead the production of technology cost estimates to aid portfolio shaping and planning.

*You'll collaborate within the rest of the Centre of Excellence, Lead Solution Architects and other domains to ensure that all solutions adhere to architecture strategy and meet business needs within the agreed quality of service and Governance applied.

*You'll manage IT Architecture Application / Technology Risks and ensure the Enterprise Architect Repository is accurate and kept up to date

So what are we looking for in you?

*Validated experience in Application Architecture and Design - Changing existing Solutions through to Designing new solutions and fitting them into the existing Architecture

* Broad solution architecture experience, preferably built on a solid software engineering background

*Provision of Reporting and Analytics architecture with an awareness of modern technologies for exploiting this data

*A good understanding of the needs of resilience and scaling for use of systems in a very Large Financial Institution

Knowledge of at least one major core investments application such as FNZ CSP would be highly desirable.

Experience in the specialist Infrastructure and Security architecture disciplines would also be useful.

Experience in or exposure to Insurance & Wealth products and/or experience working in an Agile environment is preferred but not essential.
