Platform Architect - Up to £80,000 - Central London My client need a technical individual with a software engineering architect background to help their Product Management team with planning improvements to their product offering. They work on projects for the largest sporting media companies in the world!You'll be able to use your key skills around video streaming technologies, digital rights management solutions, OTT/OVP services, video playback across platforms (browser, mobile native apps, Smart TVs, Set-Top-Boxes), content delivery networks and traditional broadcasting methods. What you'll need Worked in a technical role where software and/or hardware is a key component.Demonstrable knowledge of several of the following: Streaming services / solutions - OTT / OVPEncoding / Transcoding technologyDigital Rights Management systems for streaming media (e.g. PlayReady, Widevine, FairPlay)Video Playback across a number of platforms (browsers, mobile native apps, Smart TV, Set-top-Boxes, etc)Content Delivery Networks, and the networking ecosystem for delivery across public and private networks.Experience of common Technical Architect concepts and tools including use of UML modelling, ERDs, Flowcharts, Architecture Diagrams.Experience of on-premises and cloud architectures.Experience of working with Product Management in your previous roles.Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to document and communicate technical concepts to a sometimes non-technical audience.High level organisational and resource management skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.Capable of participating in, and driving, meetings and presentations.Innovative thinker/problem solver with strong critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to present information in a clear, succinct, and compelling way.A quick learner with a natural ability to absorb technical information.Experience of coordinating with other teams to achieve a common goal in an efficient and timely manner.Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field with demonstrated achievement; engineering or computer science disciplines preferred.A flexible approach to working patterns.
