Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure)

My client, a market leading, global organisation is looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to their Cloud Team at their UK head offices in South Birmingham.

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be expected to support, maintain, deploy and drive forwards the Cloud journey and existing O365 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

*Be an expert point of escalation for the business on Cloud and Infrastructure issues.

*Experienced in designing Cloud environments within best practise frameworks and industry standards.

*Deploy new production / non-production environments within the Cloud.

*Assist and provide support to deploy Servers and Services for the different regions ensuring all correct tagging and cost centre / owners are defined.

*Ensure DR environment is robust, secure and fully implemented as per requirements and best practises.

*Continually work with other teams to ensure on-prem Infrastructure is optimal and advise if workloads should be migrated.

*Coordinate with the local IT team in regards on new projects.

*Ensure all technical documentation and knowledge bases are created alongside deployments.

*Ability to deliver and identify against business needs.

*Participate in Change Approval Boards and manage 3rd vendor relations.

Key Skills and Experience required:

*Experience of building enterprise solutions within a Cloud platform (Azure).

*Develop applications with optimised for cloud deployments within Azure.

*Experience of setting up cloud-based infrastructure alongside governance and security policies.

*Ability to maintain, support and troubleshoot an Azure environment.

*Working knowledge and experience of MS Stack technologies (AD DS, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy).

*Experience of virtualisation platform such as Hyper-V / VMware - configuration and administration.

*Backup Software - VEEAM, Acronis, BackupExec.

*OS Server 2003 - 2016 Administration/Patching & Problem Solving.

*Knowledge of network architecture solutions in Cloud environments.
