To work with us, you don`t need to be an expert in higher education, but you will need a passion for making a difference for Higher Education students in England.The OfS IT team works closely with the business to deliver secure integrated cloud and on-premise based services that support the effective operation of business processes. Key responsibilities will span across the full lifecycle of the software product, from requirements gathering to delivery and into maintenance and administration. The role requires engagement with internal stakeholders on new project-based activities, and to ensure that architectural considerations are considered, and effective security and best practices are implemented and maintained. The OfS Dynamics Lead will work with a small team of Dynamics Administrator, developers and QA and will create and develop the roadmap for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the OfS Portal connector, suggesting changes and functionality improvements that will benefit the business users. The post holder will have the technical expertise of the Dynamics product suite and the ability to apply that expertise to understanding and resolving complex business scenarios through appropriate architecture and exploitation of the Dynamics 365 product. The role is part of a specialist team of developers that provides advice and technical expertise and to the OfS more broadly, as needed. We`re looking for candidates to bring with them expertise and experience in this key technology, Previous experience of working with or within the Higher Education sector, while helpful, is not a pre-requisite for this role. You`ll need to lead and plan work as part of a team to deliver your work to a high standard by the required deadlines. You`ll be able to communicate, complex technical matters in language that is easily understood by stakeholders and business area teams and be comfortable working flexibly with a team on matters which may be complex or sensitive.
