PHP Web Developer

Doncaster

Salary £25k - £35k

The Role

Working in a busy development team, reporting to the Web Development Manager, you will be working closely with other team members to work on both internal systems as well as external customer facing websites. You will need to be client focused and understand the importance of ensuring products work effectively. You will be part of a team of like-minded, passionate and high performing developers who strive to innovate and create amazing sites that users will love.

Key Responsibilities:

*Ensure product and application perform above minimum standards

*Constantly refining the codebase

*Defects and time-to-fix defects are low

*Develop strong relationships with other departments

*Improve all systems

*Continuous development of the company websites

*Migration from a CodeIgniter codebase to a more robust Laravel and Drupal framework/API solution.

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential;

*Prior commercial PHP development experience, must provide portfolio and/or examples of work

*Knowledge of at least 1 Relational Database

*Good knowledge of PHP5/7

*Good working knowledge of Javascript/JQuery/Ajax

*Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts such as inheritance, composition, etc.

Desirable skills;

*Laravel

*Git Version control

*LAMP

*Drupal
