Job Title: Electrical EstimatorLocation: Newark-on-Trent, NottinghamshireSalary: Competitive depending on experienceJob type: Permanent, Full timeThe Company, a nationwide M&E design and build contractor, are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team. It's a well-established company, currently in their 29th year of trading, focusing primarily on retail, education, industrial & commercial.The RoleUnderstand and scrutinise project specifications and drawingsCarry out site visits and surveysAttend client and consultant meetingsMeasurement and take offs for materials, labour, plant and preliminariesComplete tenders within required timescales ensuring deadlines are metAssisting the project team with costing variationsIdentify tender qualifications and exclusionsProduce value engineering solutionsLiaise with the mechanical department when submitting M&E tendersUnderstand and scrutinise sub-contract quotationsRecognise and report project risk and opportunityThe Candidate:Skills and QualitiesAt least two years' experience as an electrical estimator and/or qualified electricianExperience building strong customer and consultant relationshipsExcellent communication skillsExcellent numeracy skillsFlexibility to travel between customer and consultant sitesHonesty and integrityExcellent time management and organisational skillsAbility to work to a deadlineAwareness and knowledge of H&S / CDM Regulations & requirements (desirable)Working knowledge of SEC Cyper estimating package or similar (desirable)Training and QualificationsFull clean driving licenceAwareness of, or trained on the 18th edition of the Electrical Wiring Regulations - BS7671Any training in electrical engineering (desirable)HNC in electrical engineering or NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 in electrotechnical services or similar (desirable)GCSE maths and English (desirable)Awareness of, or trained on BS5266 - Emergency lighting (desirable)Awareness of, or trained on BS5839 - Fire detection and fire alarm systems (desirable)Please click on the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; Electrical Estimator, Qualified Electrician, Electrical Surveyor, M&E Estimator, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electrician, Electrical Project Estimator, Construction Estimator, Estimating, Surveying may also be considered for this role.
