QA Engineer / SDETAre you a A Engineer SDET looking to work for one of the largest retail brands in the world? Are you looking for a team that encourages, motivates and drives you to succeed? If this the answer to the above is yes, then read on...As the SDET/ QA Analyst you will make decisions which influence the success of projects and team objectives and perform a broad range of complex technical or professional work activities, in a variety of contexts under the supervision, guidance and direction of the QA Manager. You will also demonstrate your expertise by writing clear, maintainable tests and test automation code that will scale across a number of projects and distributed development teams.

•Work closely with other software engineers and software test engineers in test to build and deliver high volume, secure, defect free and resilient software ensuring that velocity and NFR's are pro-actively considered and measured•Constantly work to improve the scenarios under test KPI's•Ensure the applications and systems created by the team meet the needs of the business•Understand both waterfall and Agile development approaches and adapt tests appropriately•Contribute to the evolution of our testing and test standards for our technology eco-systems•Promote good software and test engineering practices (e.g. ensuring high unit test coverage, defensive/performant and secure code, zero defect software, big O notation etc)•Pro-actively seek out what's going on in the technology industry and promote a culture of continuouslearning•Fully own your software stack by participating in implementation and post-implementation activities•Mentor less experienced software test engineers•Contribute and ensure technical documentation is produced and maintained•Provide technical/application support as required (which may be out of hours)•Write clear, maintainable tests and test automation code that will scale across a number of projects and distributed development teams

Skills required:

•ISEB certification to foundation level as minimum•Excellent understanding of TDD and BDD concepts•Work in a cross functional team taking responsibility for the team's technical deliverables and quality•Proven experience of working in project/scrum/kanban teams â€¢Proven experience of working with business stakeholders•Commercial experience of VBA, Python, SQL•MS Azure experience is highly desirable•Advance MS Excel skills and any other experience in the data world•Understanding of non-functional requirements, quality assurance and continued improvement methods•Experience in Jira & Confluence•Strong experience in Agile methodologies including the ability to influence best practices
