Test Manager / Lead Software Tester who has excellent management, leadership and ‘hands on' skills with experience of writing test plans and delivering successful projects is required for a well-established leading Consultancy.

JOB OVERVIEW

 

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Test Manager / Lead Software Tester who has excellent management, leadership and ‘hands on' skills with of experience writing test plans and delivering successful projects.

 

Working as the Test Manager / Lead Software Tester you will be a passionate leader who drives excellence for their clients and inspires their team. 

 

As a Test Manager / Lead Software Tester, you will demonstrate leadership of the testing activities at a project level and be involved in the planning, monitoring and control of all testing activities to a high standard of quality. Your role will include identifying effort, the levels and types of testing to be executed and driving delivery to the Test Strategy and Plan you have shaped.

 

 

WHO ARE YOU?

 

Ideally you will have hands-on experience in an Agile team, working with developers, BA's, product owners, and technical experts. You will have knowledge and experience of testing in an Azure DevOps environment as well as experience of leading teams of UAT and Automation testers.

 

Your ability to communicate at all levels is essential. Your reporting and written communications will be exemplary and professional as you will be liaising with a wide range of stakeholders. The Company operates a mentoring and coaching style of leadership.

DUTIES

 

Your duties and responsibilities as the Test Manager / Lead Software Tester:

 

Writing Test Strategies/Test Plans

 

Providing estimates for resource utilisation throughout a project

 

Management/Leadership and delivery of successful projects

 

Management and Leading of teams

 

Identifying issues and developing corrective action plans

 

Selection and implementation of testing methodologies and practices

 

Test mentoring and leadership: setting clear vision and directives for teams to gain buy-in

 

People leadership; including managing performance, giving feedback and development of professional development plans

 

Resource and work allocation, pipeline planning, tracking and activity management

 

The ability to produce high quality presentations

 

Confidence to escalate when necessary

 

Exceptional soft skills including communication, both written and verbal

 

Attending industry events and contributing whitepapers
