Mechanical Design Engineer

Having been established for many decades, they are continuing to expand due to an increase in the demand for their products across the globe.In this role you will be based in Aberdeen within the research and development team. Your role will be to assist in the design of mechanical components and assemblies as well as helping to test and develop prototypes for the designs.The ideal candidate will have previous experience in mechanical design, ideally using CAD software or solidworks. A HNC or HND in mechanical engineering or related would also be highly beneficial. Candidates with additional experience working with downhole tools would also be regarded highly.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading company that has remained stable over the years in a varied role that offers an excellent package and potential progression in the future.The Role:

*Monday - Friday, 40-hour week

*Working within the R&D team

*Designing new mechanical components, assemblies and systems for the use in the oil and gas industry

*Development and test of prototypesThe Person:

*Mechanical Design experience (ideally CAD or solidworks)

*HNC or HND in mechanical engineering or related

*Experience with downhole tools would be beneficial but not required
