Software Tester

One of our fastest growing software house clients is seeking a manual software tester to join their Staffordshire team, based in their brand new offices. They are a Microsoft Gold Partner, and so you will benefit from their excellent training and development opportunities. You will be responsible for manual testing and quality assurance of the companies' software products.

As the Software Tester your duties will include, but not limited to:

*Plan, write and execute test scripts

*Translation of functional requirements and specifications into documents test plans, cases and steps

*Execute test plans manually and conduct manual functional and exploratory testing

*Conduct manual regression testing

*Testing modifications to the bespoke software products to ensure these are fit for purpose, consistent and compliant with published guidelines

*Identify any issues, risks, dependencies escalating where necessary

*Provide product handovers to technical and non-technical stakeholders

The Software Tester will be required to possess:

*Strong experience with manual software testing

*Proven commercial experience testing client server and Web applications

*A practical and systematic approach to testing

*Experience working within a .Net based environment would be beneficial

*Experience working within an agile environment

*Able to write simple SQL scripts to create and manipulate data

*Exposure to Microsoft Test Manager would be advantageous
