Finance Controller - (Potential to take Finance Director role in 12 Months) am actively recruiting on behalf of one of my expanding retail clients based across the UK as they look to add a financial controller to their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the finance team at a established UK based business - getting involved in a host of exciting projects going into 2020, and benefitting from a unique, fast paced work environment. My client is seeking a enthusiastic accountant/ financial controller who will have hands on involvement in the financial accountancy team, with responsibilities including:Preparing other ad-hoc external returns (CITB, HSF, etc.)Reviewing and posting purchase invoicesPreparation of the Group's cash position and loan summaryCompletion and submission of all Confirmation StatementsPreparing (including reconciling historical and forecasting future) project costs; and developing recovery action plansManagement of insurance renewals including gap analysisReviewing, approving and releasing daily bank paymentsPreparation and submission of board packsMaintenance of company secretarial files The role will also involve exposure to process improvement projects surrounding their internal ERP system, Dynamics NAV - utilising expertise as a user of similar financial systems within analysis/ testing phases. Successful candidates will be able to offer: Advanced Excel skillsAdvanced working knowledge of XeroExperience of NAV preferred or other ERP'S, but not essentialQualified (or qualified by experience) My clients modern offices are based in Abeerdeen with excellent transport links, and a unique work culture.
