Principal Software Engineer / Architect (Java JVM Algorithm Python UNIX Cloud Native). As a Principal Software Engineer / Architect you will lead the architecture, design and implementation of scalable and extensible products and services in a Cloud Native environment. The core product is a highly complex network discovery and infrastructure management tool that utilises AI and Machine Learning algorithms to allow large scale organisations to efficiently manage their IT set-up.

You will identify and build algorithms which are valuable to real-world industry applications; write and review production quality code and partner with Data Scientists to transform state-of-the-art algorithms and research into ground breaking products.

You'll be based in the vibrant town of Kingston-upon-Thames in light and spacious modern offices with a fully stocked kitchen / break out area and games room, showers, secure bike storage and lots going on in the local area with great places for lunch and a very short walk to the river.

Requirements:

Strong software engineering / architecture experience; expertise with Java in a UNIX environment and other languages such as Python

Indepth knowledge of Cloud Native architectures with experience of Cloud providers such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform GCP, Azure

Strong knowledge of advanced algorithm design and development; Machine Learning experience is highly desirable

Experience of dealing with scalability and performance issues on a distributed system

Experience with microservices, Container orchestration and Containerisation technologies

Collaborative with excellent communication skills
