**Equator Developer** Wymondham **

Equator Developer will require input to the development team to ensure the appropriate technologies are selected for use within Equator. These should be in line with current technological thinking the Equator Developer will be jointly responsible with the Development Manager and Product Development to ensure the appropriate due diligence and feedback is given to all releases of Equator.

Role Function:

*Support the product support model

*Input into the operational delivery model including the training of services resource

*Support of Services and Support resource on release of annual and scheduled updates

*The ideal candidate will be proficient at problem solving and stepping through code to find root causes. They should be able to take a problem, debug it, propose rectification and follow the fix through the development cycle. They should work well under pressure and provide accurate timescales to solving problems

Essential Skills:

*Microfocus Visual COBOL

*Microfocus Dialog

*MSSQL

*Relational Database Design

*Good interpersonal skills and ability to be outspoken and suggest ideas to the team and corresponding stakeholders

*Strong communication skills and customer facing experience

*Ability to produce clear and concise documentation

*Ability to demonstrate a high level of numeracy
