IC Resources is working with a global client who is a leader in the Semiconductor industry who require a DevOps Engineer to be based at their head office in Cambridge. This would be an initial 6 months contract working in the Core Test and Build Infrastructure team. The successful candidate will have a clear desire for DevOps principles and methodologies and is a terrific opportunity for an aspiring engineer to develop. Requirements: Must be flexible with a variety of software development skills and have an enthusiastic approach to extending their breadth and depth of knowledge in the following areas. Complete and improve inhouse vGpu Solution, which includes:Solution is based on VMWare and Nividia Pascal/Tesla GPUCreate Linux VM using vGpu.Create Windows VM using vGpu.Adopt technology to be used with OpenStack and AWS.Create automated deployment solution using vSphere. Support for the engineering teamsCreate comprehensive technical documentation. Skills and Preferences:Perfect knowledge of VMWare.Knowledge working with Jenkins.Competent in Windows System Administration. Competent in Linux System Administration. Both RHEL and Ubuntu.Good knowledge of AWS and OpenStack.Competent with Open Source DB like MariaDB and PostgreSQL.Expert Knowledge in Python and some knowledge in Bash and Powershell scripting.Version control and code review systems such as GIT and Gerrit. Knowledge at least one of the following technology areas would be advantageous:Software build and test solutions such as Jenkins.Monitoring, Metrics and results visualization tooling.Automation tools such as Puppet and Ansible.Development board build/test farm.
