We have a new exciting opportunity that has arisen to join our client, working as a International Marketing Coordinator in their Marketing division. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience within the Digital & Content, PAB (Performance, Audience, Brand) and PR teams.

A national tourism agency, a non-departmental public body, funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, responsible for promoting Britain worldwide and developing its visitor economy.

Summary of role:

To support the London and overseas marketing teams in their roles tocommunicate why Britain is such a great visitor destination. This is an exciting role which will provide support to the London teams and overseas network to enable them to deliver integrated marketing plans, high volumes of editorial content, media visits, and global social media plans. The successful candidate will be a valued member of the marketing team and will gain hands on learning across all the key areas of a modern marketing team.

Responsibilities:

CROSS TEAM

Showcase best practice internally and internationally by co-ordinating weekly and monthly reports and newsletters for the team, senior directors and external stakeholders

Assist with campaign and project development and execution including the planning of media and influencer trips.

Support with co-ordinating key internal and external meeting

Ensure teams are supported with financial processes such as raising POs and processing invoices

PAB

Assist in the delivery of commercial partnerships and brand activity

Assist with the management of image assets

PR & INFLUENCER

Management of domestic and international coverage including saving and reporting highlights

Upload stories to the Media Centre for use by international media

Assist London PR team with enquiries from the overseas network and media

Read through a wide variety of key publications (print and online) for news and trend spotting to feed out to the overseas network. Weekly review of newspapers and online Gen Y outlets

Ensuring that the CRM system is regularly updated with key media and industry contacts

Event support such as venue research or preparing press packs

Use of global tool to help identify and vet relevant influencers for global campaigns and report on their performances

CONTENT

Assist with building and maintaining the content calendar, including alignment with stories across markets

Curate content for global social media channels

Monitor social media channels, understand trends and best practice to apply to activity

Person Requirements

Education/Qualifications:

Open to recent graduates

Studied Marketing, Advertising/Brand, PR, Social Media, Tourism or Project Management

Achieved 2:2 or higher

Characteristics:

Excellent administrative and organisational skills with strong attention to detail

Good knowledge of the UK tourism industry preferable, but not essential

Understanding of international media, and what appeals to overseas visitors

Understanding of the processes and principles surrounding the creation of marketing materials/ campaigns

Experience in social media, content curation and/or digital platforms

Good written & verbal communication skills

Computer literate including good working knowledge of Microsoft office programmes

Effective team player with a positive and enthusiastic approach

Ability to manage own time and input to deliver an agreed schedule of output

Flexibility to prioritise work in response to ad hoc requests and unexpected developments

Experience working with an online image library (desirable)

Project management skills (desirable)

Experience working with an online media centre or CRM system (desirable)

Interest in influencer marketing (desirable)
