We're currently recruiting for an exciting new internal System Administrator role to work within my client's growing business. This new role will give the successful applicant the opportunity to work across all areas of infrastructure support whilst also getting the opportunity to work on various exciting IT related projects. Duties and Responsibilities The below is a list of the main responsibilities of the role which you will be exposed to and trained in to become responsible for. This list should not be considered an exhaustive list of duties. The administration and support of Windows (Active Directory) High Availability Cluster and desktop architecture, to include Windows 2012 and 2016 servers, Windows 7 and 10 desktop and laptops, MS Office 365 Pro Plus. Further software packages to be added if requiredSupport all Servers, Desktops, Laptops, Network and Local Printers. LAN/WAN Infrastructure and support (including WatchGuard Firewall VPN's), VOIP and Mobile Phones and any other system designated as ICTAdminister Microsoft Exchange 2013 to ensure system availability through archiving of non-current e-mails. Ensure archives are secured to Offline folders (PST) while other solutions are investigatedMonitor daily Backup as part of the Disaster Recovery PlanEnsure Documentation of any new IT Procedures as introduced by the Head of IT is created / updated and controlled in line with company policies and proceduresAdminister current security software (Kaspersky, BMA, BRM and others) while alternative solutions are investigatedCreate/update all control documentation for the issue of ICT equipment and ensure compliance with company asset registration proceduresCover for the Head of IT in their absence whilst remaining within their levels of authority and experience / skill and knowledgeUndertake planned and Ad-hoc IT projects as and when necessary Competency ProfileRecognised qualification in Information Technology, such as an ONC / HNC or similarHolder of a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) qualification (beneficial)Technical expertise and a record of achievement in delivering support to IT usersPatience and empathy when dealing with remote usersDetermination to resolve issues without cutting corners or compromising the businessGeneral willingness to help and be supportiveExperience of deploying and configuring WatchGuard VPN firewalls would be beneficialAble to work on a flexible basis with regards to working hours (some travel may be required)A full UK driving licence
