A growing Eastleigh based business is looking for a QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. Taking responsibility for finding and reporting bugs and validating new development, you should have a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality and excellent communication skills. You will also be competent in designing and executing test cases. As a QA Tester, your responsibilities will include:Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.Estimating, prioritising, planning and coordinating testing activities.Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly and tracking bugs.Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.Investigating the causes of non-conforming software.Staying up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.Working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. To be a successful QA Tester, you will have the following skills and experiences:
Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or in a similar role.Excellent communication, both written and spoken English.Experience working within software development teams.Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.Experience with both white box and black box testing.A BS/MS degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject is beneficial but is not essential.Experience with performance and/or security testing, Windows or .NET Winform application QA and automated testing tools is beneficial but is not essential.
